[The set of Between the Ropes is darkened as the logo plays over the dark set. The usual couch is no longer there and the only thing that seems to be there is a small high top bar table with a pitcher of water and some small glasses on it. When the music sounds, the lights come alive to the crowds screams of delight. Once it settles down, Jessica takes a seat on one of the high legged chairs and crosses her legs.]
Jessica King: Hello! Welcome to Between the Ropes with Jessica King. Today, we get the privilege of sitting down with one of the most powerful forces in wrestling today. His mannerisms, his unique charisma and overall demeanor is enough to turn heads and his style of wrestling leaves so much to be desired. He is one of the seven deadly sins and the hardcore legend….please welcome…John Ojeda!
[He comes from the side and takes to a sit in the higher legged chair. He looks unimpressed with the woman sitting across from him. He nods to Jessica and looks out to the crowd that has hooted and popped for his arrival.]
Jessica King: Some people say that Revival has taken a gamble in signing you. Is it true you have been kicked out of every federation you have been in in the last four years?
John Ojeda: What the fuck kind of question is that?! I've worked for three companies in the past four years and I wasn't kicked out of any of them. My THW contract ended so I left there and went to PWX. PWX ran for a long while with me on the roster and we made a lot of money and sales. I wasn't kicked out of PWX, I lead a mass exodus against a corrupt regime that was only concerned with putting the boss over, not putting on a quality product. And it's not my fault Revival got canned cuz that dumb ass killed a dog... so no, fuck you, I wasn't kicked out of anywhere.
Jessica King: I’m sure you are referring to Sam Hessingstock and the horrible devastation that was brought by animal enthusiasts. A matter that Mercedes holds dear to her heart. But speaking of Miss Monroe, at the end of the first era of Revival, you seemed to have a special relationship with Mercedes Monroe? Whats the story with that.
John Ojeda: I like money. I like power. I like good looking girls with tight pussies... you do the fucking math.
[Jessica blushes bashfully and looks down to her cards.]
Jessica King: Well some would say that doesn’t amount to very much, Mr. Ojeda.
Crowd Member: I love you Johnnnn! Woo!
Jessica King: It appears that some might be enthusiasts when it comes to your way of thinking though. [She chuckles.] John, some say your style is hardcore, how do you think that will fit into the new vision of Revival?
John Ojeda: Like I give a shit how it fits in. People can say what they want, but the way I work gets the job done. It gets results. A lot of people back down when the realize that they're going to have to go to a place that's more violent and more volatile than what they're used too. Me, that's my comfort level. Bombs and bloodshed is where I feel most comfortable, so I think I'll fit in just fine. I think I'll fit in just fine because anyone that's got a problem with it is gonna end up with my fist in their mouth.
Jessica King: That leads me to my next question, what do you think about the new influx of talent, like a guy with an established reputation like Mac Bane?
John Ojeda: Do you think I really give a flying fuck about a guy like Mac Bane. Let me tell you something, this ain't a fucking comic book son. What, you jabbing needles in your ass to keep yourself pumped up with steroids big guy? Keep it up son, steroid or not... it won't ever fucking help you. Old man, it doesn't matter if you've been around the block a hundred times, I'm still better than you. That arrogance of experience will ultimately lead to you getting hurt. I've got the best right hand in this business, and if you've got something to say... you'll find it out the hard way when I send your molars flying into the front row. You're on your way down the ladder... I'm on my way up. You step in my path, you get throw off the ladder. Get used to it.
[Jessica looks to the rumbling roar of the audience as they love the arrogant talk coming from Ojeda. Jessica smiles and shakes her head with a half shocked expression.]
Jessica King: Wow. Harsh words for the legendary Mac Bane. I would love to get him on here and see his feelings towards that. Now, I have seen you take at lot of harsh critique from others on the way you seems to speak openly and without reserve. They don’t see you as anything but a wannabe biker badass. Do you have a message for the rest of the Revival nation?
John Ojeda: Do people really think I give a shit what they say? Let's get one thing straight, I only care about four things in this world. Money, drugs, pussy, and my fellow patch holders in my club. You don't hold a patch in my club, you ain't shit to me. You're a fucking civilian and I couldn't give a shit what you had to say about anything I do. You don't like it, get the fuck out of the way or I'll make sure I flatten your ass too. The patches on my vest say I'm better than you. I'm above your system and your rules. I do what I want, when I want, and I don't give a fuck who cares. You can't get behind that, you're chum.
Crowd: Chum-Chum-Chum!
Jessica King: And with that, my last question of the night. Wrath, what is it you are looking forward to at Revivals first show Resurrection?
John Ojeda: Breaking someone's face open. That's the only thing I ever look forward to in this business. I like hurting people, or have you not figured that shit out already. I'm looking forward to cocking back a right hand and bouncing it off someone's jaw. I'm looking forward to seeing my opponents teeth get spit into the front row after I hit them so hard they go cross eyed. That's what the fuck I look forward too. Not the paycheck, not the crowd, not the pop. I like the human suffering. And believe me, whoever walks in my path, be it Mac Bane, the British Bomber, or even the boss lady Mercedes... I'm going to make sure they walk away from Resurrection questioning if they should be coming up against me.
[Jessica looks to the camera and she smiles.]
Jessica King: There you have it. John Ojeda seeks to destroy anyone in his path and no one seems to be safe. Strong words for Mac Bane and another message for those in the locker room. He will be a force in Revival but who can stop him? What I know for certain ladies and gentleman, is that Resurrection- IS COMING!
[The up close camera fades out slowly on the lovely Jessica King and reaches blackness.]
